okay, that's encouraging...

while coding, had the music on "shuffle" at a low volume.

Heard this kinda haunting woodwind melody coming out of speakers and thought..."hey, that's nice...pretty. "

Then a little bit later "wait a minute... that's kinda familiar.......oh... yeah.. that's um... me." *eep*

.. turned out it was a recording I did once upon a time just noodling around on the recorder.
'kay, I feel happy now. Scatterbrained as all heck, but nicely encouraged.

'like Travis says - onward! :)

I've had that happen before. Was listening to an internet radio station and thought hey I like that, oh wait. that's me.

I thought noodling was,.. was,... bayou fishing.

Noodling on a recorder?

Was that an attempt to pasta the time?

Paul, Travis- :)

Mark - neat!!!
*that* sounds like a fun experience.

Michael - well, if I used the other word I learned in high school for it, it wouldn't go over so well.

Peter - ouch!!!
You wound me, sir!
(pick any pockets lately? ;) )

Now you taunt me. I wounder if anyone publishes a thesaurus for teenagers for words adults would never think of. What year release would I be looking for?

Tricky! I'm not falling for that. ;)

Honestly, I can remember the word, other than it was vaguely onomatopoeic and referred to...um... indulging in solitary pleasures. which kind of fits I guess, but .. yeah.

It'd be easier just to call information in Anchorage and ask for the girl with the fiddle and work backwards.

I'd bet Travis knows the word. It's bound to be in the catechism under 'what not to do'.

I was thinking OED, but he might find it there to. ;)

As a woodwind player, I find myself growing more and more concerned about the used instrument market.
